Florida Budget Must Be Set Tuesday

If all goes according to plan, this will be the last week of the legislative session: the deadline is midnight Friday.

Lawmakers are dealing with an $83 billion budget and hundreds of bills will expire if they're not approved by the end of the week.  Monday morning a Senate committee approved a negotiated $75 million in tax cuts, Governor Rick Scott wanted $600 million.

The budget must be set by Tuesday for the mandatory 72 hour cooling off period.
