The surf was too much for a group of swimmers. Miami Beach Police say that five swimmers were in distress near 43'rd Street and the Beach. Three were able to get to shore. One was pulled out by first responders. Another was pulled out by a good Samaritan and Miami Beach Fire Rescue.That last man was rushed to Mt. Sinai Hospital where he later died. First Responders warn people not to swim in rough waters, especially when there's no lifeguard present. For more, click here.
