Florida Woman Jailed For Missing Court In Sandy Hook Threats

The woman accused of threatening a father of a Sandy Hook Elementary School victim is expected to be sent back to  South Florida after being arrested over the weekend in Tampa. Lucy Richards, 57, was arrested just after 4:30 p.m. Saturday and was charged with failing to appear in court.

Jail records list the arrest location as Brandon Regional Hospital. Richards remained without bail in the Hillsborugh County jail on a hold from the U.S. Marshals Service.

Richards allegedly sent death threats to a Palm Beach County man whose 6-year-old son died in the Sandy Hook school shootings.

A Fort Lauderdale federal judge issued an arrest warrant for Lucy Richards last week after she skipped her change-of-plea hearing and sentencing.
