Trump's (Totally Expected) "Reaction" to Russia Hearings

As we talked about in length this morning with U.S. Intelligence Expert Malcolm Nance, F.B.I. director James Comey confirmed to the public Monday that an investigation into Russian interference with the presidential election is underway.

Under ordinary circumstances, it would be unusual for the F.B.I. to comment on the existence (or lack thereof) such investigations. However, in this situation, when it is in the public interest, the bureau has disclosed the status.

While we covered the legitimacy of the investigation on our show this morning, we thought it would be unfair not to include Trump's side of the story. The only problem? Trumpy shied away from addressing both the Russia Hearings and the wiretap claim scandal during his Monday night rally in Kentucky.

Lucky for us, however, he did take to Twitter to rant about the issue (NATURALLY):

On the @POTUS Twitter account, Trump put a spin in his favor on the issue, focusing on the fact that the National Security Admin. (NSA) and F.B.I. did not say that Russia influenced the electoral outcome of the election:

Onlookers quickly tweeted back:

We know Trump is already stuck between a rock and a hard place. How about those wiretap claims?

Comey also told the House Intelligence Committee Monday, “We have no information to support” President Trump’s assertion on Twitter that President Barack Obama wiretapped Trump Tower.

“We have no information to support those tweets,” Comey said, “all I can tell you is that we have no information that supports them.”

AKA ... Trump's a liar. More or less. Maybe he didn't say it outright, but we can all read subtext. At the very least, we know we're dealing with a bully. We're just going to leave Meriam-Webster's definition right here:

BULLY: agj :  a blustering, browbeating person; especially :  one who is habitually cruel, insulting, or threatening to others who are weaker, smaller, or in some way vulnerable tormented by the neighborhood bully

After all, he seems to find comfort in shining the "shame light" an anyone but himself.
