Florida Democratic Senator Bill Nelson spoke to students at Florida Memorial University in Miami Gardens Friday. Dozens of students listened to the Senator talk about the future of the space program and about his time at NASA. He also talked about the new movie, "Hidden Figures" saying it was a true story and an important piece of history.
Senator Nelson was just as enthusiastic to talk about the trillion dollar infrastructure bill he's backing. President Donald Trump campaigned on his desire to support a trillion dollar measure to fix the nation's infrastructure. Senator Nelson says he hopes the president makes good on that promise, but he is concerned that Republican lawmakers will put a roadblock to prevent it.
