WATCH: Governor Scott Announces Proposed Tax Cuts in Fort Lauderdale

Governor Rick Scott will be asking state lawmakers for 618 million dollars in tax cuts this year. Most of the savings ($454M) comes through elimination of the sales tax paid by businesses when they rent space.

He is announcing his plans with his tax cut tour, "Fighting for Florida's Future."  Wednesday he made a stop in Fort Lauderdale at ACR Electronics.

The governor's tax cut package is just a recommendation. The state legislature has the final say.
