(Palm Beach, FL) - Apparently, a hush-hush meeting was held between the world's second richest man, Elon Musk, and Donald Trump over the weekend.
The tête-à-tête is sparking questions about whether the Tesla boss might bankroll the Republican's presidential campaign.
The New York Times reports that the two met on Sunday on Palm Beach, along with a few wealthy Republican donors.
But, in a Wednesday morning social media post, Musk wrote, "Just to be super clear, I am not donating money to either candidate for US President."
Trump and his team may be seeking a cash infusion to boost his presidential campaign amid a massive legal financial drain.
But, with challenger Nikki Halley dropping out, Trump will now receive campaign funds from the RNC as the presumptive nominee.
