(Miami, FL) - One of the highest profile espionage cases between Cuba and the US has come to an unexpectedly rapid conclusion.
Yesterday, Victor Manuel Rocha, who was the US ambassador to Bolivia, admitted to a Miami judge that he was spying for Cuba for decades.
73-year-old Victor Manuel Rocha was charged with secretly passing information to the communist Cuban government since 1981 while working for the US state department.
When Judge Beth Bloom asked him if he wished to change his plea to guilty yesterday, he responded: "Your honor, I am in agreement."
Rocha is due to be sentenced at a hearing on April 12th.
