Elon Musk says the first human to receive a Neuralink cybernetic brain implant, called "Telepathy," is recovering.

The company, founded by Musk, aims to eventually use the implants to enable paralyzed patients to control technology with their thoughts.

Musk hopes the implants will help people with diseases like Alzheimer's and Parkinson's and to eventually "restore capabilities such as vision, motor function, and speech."

The tech billionaire posted on X that the implant was put in a human for the first time on Sunday.
