(Miami, Fla) - Commuters to the Magic City now have more options...Tri-Rail trains will extend its service into downtown Miami starting Jan. 13 with direct trips.
The new connecting service will be available seven days a week even on holidays.
Brightline has offered train service to downtown Miami since 2018. Tri-Rail began operation in South Florida on January 9, 1989.
“The day has finally arrived when the public can plan their direct trips in and out of Downtown Miami onboard Tri-Rail trains,” said Miami-Dade Commissioner Raquel Regalado, SFRTA Governing Board Member.
Tri-Rail trains will connect Hialeah with the MiamiCentral station in downtown Miami.
Meanwhile, Brightline trains run from MiamiCentral and connect Aventura, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, West Palm Beach and Orlando.
