(Miami, Fla) - An about face about the smiling, sunglass wearing, giant orange neon sign that rises up downtown Miami's InterContinental Hotel on New Year's Eve.

After first getting word that the Big Orange would be virtual once again this year, Miami's Mayor announced that after hours of logistic coordination, because FSU and the University of Georgia football teams are staying at the hotel, a deal has been worked out to install the Big Orange earlier than normal.

“La Gran Naranja” will be installed next week.

Miley Cyrus' “Miley's New Year's Eve Party” from downtown Miami will not be returning to NBC this year as the network has decided to air Sunday Night Football.
