More than 55-million Americans will travel 50 miles or more for Thanksgiving this year, according to AAA.
That's an increase of a little more than 2% from last year and the third-highest forecast for the holiday since AAA began tracking it in 2000.
Most will drive to their destinations, nearly 2% more compared to 2022.
And 4.7 million travelers will fly, an increase of more than 6.5 percent compared to last Thanksgiving.
"The best times to travel during the peak Thanksgiving period are on Wednesday morning and Sunday morning," according to AAA.
AAA anticipates 71,000 more Florida drivers than last year. To avoid the worst of the traffic, try leaving early in the day or later at night.
