Not long after deliberations began jurors in Tallahassee Monday convicted Broward periodontist Charlie Adelson of murder in the 2014 death of Dan Markel.
The jury found Adelson, of Fort Lauderdale, guilty on all counts: first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, and solicitation to commit first-degree murder.
Adelson was accused of hiring two hitmen to kill the 41-year-old FSU law professor over a custody fight with his sister, Wendi.
Adelson faces a mandatory life sentence.
