The Golden Globe Awards claims to now be the "most diverse major award show" after expanding its voting membership of 300 journalists from around the world.
"The new breakdown is 47% female, and 60% racially and ethnically diverse, with 26.3% Latinx, 13.3% Asian, 11% Black, 9% Middle Eastern," a press release said on Monday.
The Golden Globes were sold to a new owner this year following claims that there was a lack of diversity within the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.
The 81st Golden Globe Awards will be held on January 7th.
