Adults who overuse cannabis are 60% more likely to experience heart failure, strokes or heart attacks, according to a new study.

The study published in the journal Addiction compared nearly 30,000 adults with a condition known as cannabis use disorder, or CUD, to the same number with no CUD exposure.

CUD is described as continued use of weed despite significant effects on a person's life and health.

It impacts around 27 to 34% of people who use cannabis.
