CDC: "America is Getting Fatter"

America is putting on the pounds. That's according to the CDC, which says 35% of adults in 22 states were obese in 2022.

That number is up from 19 in 2021. Thirty states saw their obesity rates rise last year compared to the same time the year before.

CDC experts say tackling obesity is an 'urgent priority', describing it as a 'disease' caused by poor eating patterns, low physical activity levels and erratic sleep routines.'

The CDC data was based on the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System, which surveys 400,000 adults annually to track the nation's health.
