A Cincinnati theatre is premiering a documentary which explores the 2016 death of a beloved gorilla.

Back in 2016, Harambe was shot and killed by the Cincinnati Zoo's Dangerous Animal Response Team after a three-year-old fell into his enclosure.

The documentary will feature rare, unreleased photos and videos of Harambe, and it claims it will show that Harambe was attempting to return the young boy to his parents when he was killed.

"Harambe" premiers on September 24th, which is World Gorilla Day.
