You've heard of emotional support animals, but what about a therapy alligator?
Well, only in Florida will you hear about a therapy alligator visiting a Bay County school.
Zoologist David Dawes brought a seven-foot gator named Bubba to the Gulf Coast School for Autism in Panama City yesterday.
Kids got to pet Bubba and learn more about gators.
This is the eighth year that Dawes has brought Bubba to the school.
A school official says it's a good opportunity for kids to learn about the animals in a "hands-on" safe way.
While many people have emotional support dogs and cats, there are also ESA ferrets, snakes, birds, and guinea pigs. Larger animals, including miniature horses, llamas, goats and pigs, can also be ESAs.
