North Korea is confirming publicly for the first time that American soldier, Travis King, crossed into the country illegally.

The report also said that King confessed to harboring "ill feeling against inhuman maltreatment and racial discrimination within the U.S. Army."

U.S officials say the alleged comments couldn't be verified.

While in South Korea last month, King sprinted into North Korea while on a tour of the Demilitarized Zone.

North Korea did not offer information on King's health condition after crossing over the DMZ.
