Border Patrol finds Seven Spider Monkeys in a Backpack Smuggled from Mexico

The Texas Border Patrol says they caught someone trying to smuggle a backpack full of spider monkeys into the US from Mexico.

Spider monkeys are "critically endangered animals," and the owner of the backpack has been arrested for suspected wildlife smuggling.

The monkeys have been turned over to U.S. Fish and Wildlife for relocation.
