Juror: One 'Manipulative' Hold Out Hung Broward Jury in YNW Melly Case

(Fort Lauderdale, FL) -- Most jurors wanted to convict YNW Melly of two murders last month in Broward, according to a former juror who spoke with Local 10 News. The unidentified juror said a ‘manipulative’ woman was to blame for rapper Jamell "Melly" Demon's mistrial.

The former juror said the panel was 11-1 to convict Demons of manslaughter with a deadly weapon but the single hold out convinced two other jurors to come to her side. Prosecutors will retry Melly in October and are again seeking the death penalty.
