(Washington D.C.) -- The Biden family is facing some legal and political hurdles as Hunter Biden heads to federal court today for sentencing on two misdemeanor tax charges and Republicans threaten to impeach his father. The president's son is pleading guilty to willfully failing to pay income taxes as part of a deal that allows him to avoid conviction on a gun-related charge.
Meanwhile, Hunter Biden's legal team is accused of lying to the clerk in his criminal case as a ploy to remove testimony from IRS whistleblowers from the court docket. The Delaware judge could sanction Hunter's attorneys for the stunt.
Meanwhile, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy says new information about business dealings of the family of President Joe Biden are “rising to the level of impeachment inquiry."
When running for President, Biden said he "never discussed business with Hunter." The White House now he claims Biden was "never in business" with his son.
