We're learning more about the woman shot and killed by police during a riot inside the U.S. Capitol.
There is video that shows 35-year-old Ashli Babbitt being shot and falling to the ground in a stairwell near the House of Representatives. Babbitt traveled to D.C. for Wednesday's protest from he rhome in Ocean Beach, California, just outside San Diego.
Family members say the Air Force veteran was a staunch, vocal supporter of President Trump. She was active on social media, with more than 14,000 Twitter followers. She and her husband owned a pool supply store in Southern California.
Babbitt's brother-in-law, Jackson told the local NBC affiliate: “Ashli was both loyal as well as extremely passionate about what she believed in. She loved this country and felt honored to have served in our Armed Forces. Please keep her family in your thoughts and respect their privacy during this time,”
It's still unclear which law enforcement officer opened fire inside the Capitol, killign Babbitt.
In addition to Babbitt, three other people died in the riot after suffering medical emergencies.
The police shooting is now under review.
