Now in its 12th year, the Sony World Photography Awards celebrate the finest contemporary photography from the past 12 months.
This year saw a record-breaking number of entries with more than 326,000 images entered into the four competitions.
More than 600 selected works selected by the judging panel will then go on show at Somerset House in London until May 6, with more than 30,000 visitors expected.
