Dubai is breathing new life into the QE2.
Britain's famed Queen Elizabeth 2 cruise ship is ready to open to guests Wednesday as a floating luxury hotel moored off the United Arab Emirates' most populous city.
The full restoration has cost more than $100-million.It last set sail nearly a decade ago.
Born in the 1960s, for a while quite impressive, but for most of the last decade washed up and derelict in Dubai.— Simon Calder (@SimonCalder) April 16, 2018
No, not me: the QE2, which finally opens as a floating hotel on Wednesday. I’m seeing rates of £133 including breakfast for opening night.https://t.co/3vmcNUxbS0
