Long Island Congressman Peter King vows to vote for federal aid for Hurricane Harvey victims as he takes a shot at a fellow Republican. King Tweeted Saturday, quote, "I won't abandon Texas the way Ted Cruz did New York." He's referring to the Texas senator's opposition for federal aid back in 2012 for Superstorm Sandy victims in the New York region. Cruz had argued the bill to supply the aid had lots of pork money. Cruz didn't respond directly to King's comments but asked those not in Texas who want to help Harvey victims to donate to the Red Cross.

Ted Cruz & Texas cohorts voted vs NY/NJ aid after Sandy but I'll vote 4 Harvey aid. NY wont abandon Texas. 1 bad turn doesnt deserve another— Rep. Pete King (@RepPeteKing) August 27, 2017
Cruz: Sandy relief bill was "filled w/ unrelated pork...disaster relief needs to be focused on the victims." https://t.co/2v24IBeyFa— Katy Tur (@KatyTurNBC) August 28, 2017
