Sports World Reacts To Spanish Attack

posted by Erica Rodriguez -

The sports world has quickly reacted to the deadly attacks in Spain.

FC Barcelona will wear black armbands for their opening La Liga match Sunday to honor the victims.

In fact, all La Liga matches will observe a moment of silence this weekend.

One of the biggest names in the sport, Leo Messi, turned to Instagram to send his condolences.

The University of Arizona men's basketball team, which was scheduled to play an exhibition game tomorrow in Barcelona, has canceled that match and is coming home today.

The Oregon State, Clemson and Tulane teams were also in the area.

They haven't made decisions about their upcoming games.
