I don't see a major problem with allowing the LGBTQ community to have some of the same provisions that traditional heterosexual couples do when it comes to spousal benefits and tax classifications... but then places like California have to go ahead and take things to the next level.
Once again, the Golden State sets the gold standard when it comes to crazy items up for consideration by state lawmakers. The latest attempt to make everyone feel happy and special, instead of maybe trying this thing we used to call conforming, is to add a third option to state documents when it comes to choosing a sex.
I get that there are some people who have legitimate difficulties in dealing with their sexual identity... but come on, when it comes to filling out a form, just pick one already!
I wonder when the California lawmakers will get back to trying to have that state secede from the union... and also wonder if they would be missed.
