A big part of Super Bowl weekend is the announcement of the latest class to enter the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The 2017 edition is loaded and Dolphins fans are ecstatic to see one of their favorites make it in.
I am so happy to see Jason Taylor get selected to be enshrined in Canton, Ohio in his first year of eligibility. It is a well-deserved honor, not because Taylor is an all-time Dolphin or one of the best to ever play defensive end but because Jason is a tremendous person as well.
The Dolphins digital team did a great job of capturing the moment Taylor and his family found out that he was indeed headed to the Hall:
So now the wait for the 2017 NFL season begins but when it gets here, I will be happy to introduce two Hall of Famers as part of the Dolphins radio team.
You'll never guess who was one of the biggest supporters for Taylor going to the Hall... Our friend Armando Salguero from the Miami Herald has the answer and the letter from a guy who was on the receiving end of many of Taylor's sacks but helped put the Fins legend into Canton.
