Joe Biden Announces New Members Of His White House Senior Staff

President-elect Joe Biden is starting to fill out his staff as he prepares to take office in January. Biden is pulling heavily from his campaign staff to fill senior positions in the White House.

Mike Donilon, who was the chief strategist for Biden's campaign, will be a senior adviser to the president. Biden also named Steve Ricchetti as a counselor to the president. Ricchetti served as the chairman for Biden's campaign.

Jen O'Malley Dillon, who took over as Biden's campaign manager after the Democratic primary, will be his deputy chief of staff. Biden named Ron Klain as his chief of staff last week.

Louisiana Rep.Cedric Richmond was picked as a senior adviser to the president and will also serve as the director of the White House Office of Public Engagement.

Julie Chavez Rodriguez brings experience from both Biden's campaign and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris' campaign to her new role leading the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs.

Dana Remus, who worked as the general counsel for Biden's campaign, will serve as counsel to the president.

Annie Tomasini, who was Biden's traveling chief of staff, will be the director of Oval Office Operations.

"President-elect Biden and Vice President-elect Harris have an ambitious and urgent agenda for action. The team we have already started to assemble will enable us to meet the challenges facing our country on day one," Klain said in a statement announcing the hires.
