#UnwantedIvanka Meme Spreads After Awkward G-20 Summit Video

President Donald Trump's daughter and White House adviser Ivanka Trump is facing criticism for her presence at the G-20 summit last week held in Osaka, Japan. Ivanka was photographed standing with many world leaders during the summit, despite that she has not been elected to public office, or is a member of the president's cabinet.

In one video shared by the French presidential palace that went viral over the weekend, Ivanka Trump can be seen speaking with French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Theresa May, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and the director of the International Monetary Fund's director, Christine Lagarde. Lagarde looked impatient as Ivanka interjected herself into a conversation between Macron and May.

"As soon as you charge them with that economic aspect of it, a lot of people start listening who otherwise wouldn’t listen," May says as Lagarde nods.

"And the same with the defense side of it, in terms of the whole business that’s been, sort of, male-dominated," Ivanka Trump then adds, with Lagarde looking surprised, turning toward Ivanka as Lagarde purses her lips.

The video provoked sharp criticisms from Democrats who bashed Ivanka for trying to interject herself into the conversation with world leaders, despite a lack of qualifications.

Twitter picked up on the video and it spread quickly across the social media network, as the hashtag #UnwantedIvanka began trending, with many users sharing photos of Ivanka Trump photoshopped into famous images and historic events.

Ivanka Trump was also present during her father's historic meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un as President Donald Trump became the first sitting American President to step foot into North Korean territory.
