Three Arrested In Brutal Polk County Murder

Frostproof,Fl. (Florida News Network)-Three people, two brothers and a woman, have been arrested in connection with last Friday’s brutal murder of three friends who were going fishing at a lake near Frostproof. Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd has identified the suspects as Tony (T.J.) Wiggins, his brother Robert, and girlfriend Mary Whittemore. Judd says the gunman, T.J. Wiggins, has 230 felony charges in his arrest history, and describes him as “pure evil.” Judd says the incident appears to have begun at a nearby Dollar General store, where surveillance video shows one of the victims, Damion Tillman, at the checkout counter with Wiggins behind him in line. Wiggins, his brother, and Whittemore then followed Tillman to the lake, where Wiggins got into a confrontation with Keven Springfield, accusing him of selling an engine from his truck, an accusation Springfield denied. Following that, Judd says Wiggins shot Springfield, Tillman, and Brandon Rollins.
