(Miami, FL) - The Miami Dolphins are out of the playoffs after being crushed by the Steelers 28-15 on Monday Night Football from Pittsburgh.
Miami trailed 28-3 early in the fourth quarter and was unable to make up the difference.
Aaron Rodgers threw for more than 220 yards and a pair of touchdowns as the Steelers haven't lost a Monday night game at home since the early 90s and now lead the Ravens by one game for first place in the AFC North.
Miami had a slim chance of making the playoffs entering Week 15, but those hopes are officially dashed with the loss.
This is the Fin's second straight season missing the playoffs and the franchise hasn't won a playoff game since 2000, which is the longest active streak in the NFL.
Head Coach Mike McDaniel's record with Miami is 4-16 against teams entering with a record above .500. The worst by a head coach in the Super Bowl era.
It's not clear if McDaniel will have a job after the season ends.
