More than two weeks after Miami Beach Police Chief Wayne Jones fought back tears in announcing the death of police motorman Officer David Cajuso, his agency, and all of South Florida's law enforcement family, will pay tribute to the ten-year veteran officer who was posthumously promoted to Sergent.
Before the 10:00 a.m. ceremony, a procession will leave Vista Memorial Gardens funeral home at about 8:30 a.m. and will drive past Miami Beach Police Headquarters one final time.
Cajuso died in a single vehicle crash on October 28th.
He leaves behind a wife and three young children.
Today's funeral is just the first for our law enforcement.
Arrangements are still being finalized for 27-year-old Miami-Dade Sheriff's Deputy Devin Jaramillo, who was gunned down in the line of duty on Friday.
