Hurricane Melissa Relief At Shops At Pembroke Gardens

In response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa, the Shops at Pembroke Gardens is partnering with the Florida Highway Patrol, Global Empowerment Mission, and Mobile Mike Media Relations to support relief efforts.

Today, through 10:00 p.m., the Shops located at 527 SW 145th Ter., Pembroke Pines, will serve as a designated drop-off location for essential donations to aid affected communities. Annette Alvarez, with the Shops at Pembroke Gardens & member of the Miramar Pembroke Pines Chamber of Commerce spoke with iHeartRadio's Nathalie Rodriguez about the hurricane relief collection.

Attorney Marlon Hill represents the Jamaica Tourist Board and says they're trying to help over 300,000 displaced people. The Global Empowerment Mission has sent nine planes to Jamaica and two to Haiti full of supplies but Hill says it's not enough. Everyone is encouraged to help.
