WATCH: Police Are Searching For Stolen Rainbow Manatee

On June 3, 2025 at approximately 12:55AM, a white male subject was caught on surveillance cameras stealing a piece of art from Justin Flippen Park. The suspect can be seen riding up to the rainbow manatee statue on his skateboard and pushing the statue off the display stand. The suspect takes the art and carries it over his shoulder, last seen heading westbound on NE 21 CT.

The art piece is a rainbow-colored manatee that was dedicated to the memory of Mayor Justin Flippen. The art piece is approximately 3 feet tall and made of fiberglass. It is valued at $5,500 dollars.
