State Lawmakers Continue Trying To Ink Budget Deal In Extended Session

It's back to work in Tallahassee for state lawmakers trying to hammer out a budget after the tentative deal blows up. Governor Ron DeSantis says the session is already in overtime and this is the ONLY job lawmakers are required to do. No word yet on how long the session could go. Lawmakers have approved a resolution extending it until June sixth, but the House may try to extend it until the end of next month. If they do they would have to pass a budget by June 27 and vote on it June 30th. State law requires a 72-hour public review period before the final ok.
