The 28th Annual National Prescription Drug Take Back Day Set For Saturday

Saturday marks the start of the Drug Enforcement Administration's National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. Deanne Reuter Special Agent in charge of the Miami Field Division says it's an event to give people a safe way to dispose of unneeded prescription medications. She says the DEA does this twice a year to ensure pills don't wind up in the wrong hands from being thrown in the trash. Take Back Day has removed more than 21-million pounds since its inception fifteen years ago. There are 140 drop off locations in Florida.
