Miami-Dade, FL - A woman is behind bars after allegedly assaulting a 71-year-old man and stealing his Rolex watch during a motel encounter in Miami-Dade County.

The incident occurred on March 5 at Motel X, located at 7000 NW 27th Avenue in Gladeview.

According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, the elderly victim told deputies he was pepper sprayed and robbed of his gold Presidential Rolex by a woman he had met earlier that day.

Authorities say the suspect approached the man while he was shopping at the Caliente Adult Superstore in Hialeah.

She allegedly offered him a sexual encounter, which the man agreed to.

The two then traveled together to the motel.

Following their encounter, the suspect allegedly demanded the man remove his watch.

When he refused, a struggle took place. Investigators say the suspect was able to grab the watch and, as the victim attempted to call police, she allegedly pepper sprayed him and took his phone and wallet.

She later dropped both items in the motel parking lot before fleeing the scene.

Detectives used surveillance footage to identify the suspect, noting distinctive tattoos and a rental vehicle.

That evidence helped lead law enforcement to her address and contact information.

The suspect was arrested on March 25 and is currently being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.

She faces charges of armed robbery and battery on a person 65 or older. Her bond has not yet been set.
