Education advocates speaking out as President Trump is expected to sign an executive order shutting down the Department of Education. Federick Ingram with the American Federation of Teachers says the President has given no indication of what this really means. He says the group will sue if Congress approves of dismantling the department it created in 1979. The department sends billions of dollars a year to schools for its most vulnerable students and oversees one-point-six trillion in federal student loans.
