The Palm Beach County School District is being investigated by the U.S. Department of Education over a complaint about how alleged discrimination against a Jewish student was handled.
That's in a letter sent to the school district by the federal D.O.E.
The investigation apparently centers around whether the district failed to provide an effective response after becoming aware that the student in question was being bullied during the 2023-24 school year.
Neither the specific school involved nor any details about the alleged discrimination are known as some of that information is redacted.
The school district won't comment on the ongoing investigation but released a statement saying that they are "actively combating antisemitism and all forms of bigotry in order to foster a positive learning environment" in schools.
