We're right in the middle of manatee migration season and there's a chance to learn more about the mammals and have a good time this weekend.

The 9th Annual ManateeFest at FPL's Manatee Lagoon is Saturday.

"So much fun. We have food trucks. We have games for all ages. We have a really fun game you can learn about recycling and coastal cleanup and vendors and exhibitors selling their eco-friendly goods and educating all about their amazing organizations."

Rachel Shanker is Conservation and Education Manager at the park that opened in an area next to Florida Power and Light's Riviera Beach plant, where manatees gather to stay warm when temperatures drop.

ManateeFest is billed as a free, family-friendly celebration. It runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. There is plenty of free parking and shuttles between the parking lots and the facility.
