A West Palm Beach man is facing several charges after authorities say he traveled to Central Florida to have sex with a minor.

22-year old Emerick Priddy was arrested in Polk County, where Sheriff Grady Judd says he was in the backseat of his car with a 14-year old girl.

"I'm gonna tell you something that just makes my blood boil. That's right when adults groom children for inappropriate conduct."

Judd says Emerick Priddy met the girl on Snapchat and convinced her to sneak out of her home to got to Freedom Park with him for sex.

A deputy noticed the vehicle at the park after hours and discovered the pair, arresting Priddy. He told deputies he was 17 but his drivers license showed his true age.

The sheriff says Priddy faces some very serious charges "because he groomed a child. That's not going over anyplace, especially in Polk County."

The charges include traveling to meet a minor for sex, lewd battery, transmission of material harmful to a minor, interference with child custody, and use of a two-way communication device in a felony.
