North Florida Blanketed In Snow

Governor Ron DeSantis is taking to social media to give an update on the winter wallop hitting North Florida saying: "Overnight, we worked to clear hundreds of miles of roadways, and utility crews are working to restore power to those who experienced disruptions."

The latest update from PowerOutage.us has more than 33,000 Floridians in the dark. Most of them are in Franklin and Wakulla Counties.

DeSantis recommends people stay off the roads, if possible because many of them are still icy.

Tallahassee International Airport is now going to remain closed until tomorrow afternoon, at the earliest.

Some North Florida school districts are also choosing to keep campuses closed for Thursday as well.

Bay District Schools have announced classes will be canceled on Thursday. Schools are also closed at Gulf District Schools, Calhoon County, Jackson and Washington County School Districts as well.
