Hialeah Senior High School Lockdown Lifted After False Bomb Threat

Hialeah, FL - Hialeah Senior High School was placed on lockdown Monday morning following reports of a bomb threat and a possible firearm on campus.

WSVN reportsĀ that Hialeah Police responded to the school at 251 E. 47th St., deploying multiple units, including four K-9 teams, to conduct a thorough search of the school.

The lockdown was initiated after authorities received credible information regarding potential threats to students and staff.

A significant police presence was observed outside the school, with aerial footage showing officers securing the area.

After an extensive sweep, officials determined that the bomb threat was a hoax.

Parents who arrived at the scene were informed that the school was secure and were advised to return home.

The lockdown was lifted by 5 p.m., and Hialeah Police, in collaboration with Miami-Dade County Schools Police, continue to investigate the source of the false threat.

Mondayā€™s incident is part of a troubling trend of hoax threats affecting schools in South Florida, causing unnecessary alarm and diverting law enforcement resources.

Authorities emphasize the seriousness of making such false reports, noting that individuals responsible can face legal consequences.

Parents and community members are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to law enforcement to ensure the safety and security of all students and staff.
