Palm Beach County, FL - Security around President-elect Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago residence has intensified, with local agencies incurring significant costs to ensure safety as he prepares to return to the White House.

As President-elect Donald Trump prepares to return to the White House, security around his Mar-a-Lago residence has intensified, with federal, state, and local agencies coordinating to bolster security measures.

Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw confirmed that security levels are already at a presidential standard but noted upcoming enhancements around Trump International Golf Club.

“Security around the golf course, especially when he’s playing, will be significantly tighter than before,” Bradshaw told NBC Miami.

The costs of safeguarding the president-elect are substantial.

According to Bradshaw, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) spends nearly $200,000 daily on deputies and other security measures.

Additionally, the Town of Palm Beach has incurred nearly $3,600 daily in safety expenses since July.

From January through September, Palm Beach County Fire Rescue reported spending close to $43,000 on participating in presidential motorcades.

PBSO is also preparing for the possibility of visits from world leaders to the area and is working with Congress to secure funding for the president-elect's extensive security needs.

Donald Trump was declared the winner of the 2024 U.S. presidential election on November 5th, 2024, defeating Democratic nominee Kamala Harris.

He is scheduled to be inaugurated on January 20, 2025.
