NBC News declares Donald Trump the winner of the 2024 presidential election.
The former President, now President-elect, defeated Vice President Kamala Harris in an election that came down to swing states.
Trump is now the second President in U.S. history to serve non-consecutive terms.
In the battle to win over voters in swing states, former President Trump is picking up steam. NBC News projects he's won the key states of Georgia, North Carolina and Ohio. He's also holding onto a lead in Pennsylvania, with its coveted 19 electoral votes.
A number of other closely watched races remain too close to call at this hour. Meanwhile, it's expected that the former president will soon make an in-person appearance to address supporters in Florida.
