A man faces several charges after barricading himself in a car and claiming to have a bomb.
Port St. Lucie Police say 39-year old Jeremy Wooster called the Florida Highway Patrol yesterday morning, claiming he needed gas and had a bomb in his vehicle.
He then showed up at a Racetrac gas station on Gatlin Boulevard where a state trooper happened to be fueling up. Police say Wooster told the trooper to "back up" because he had a gun and a bomb.
The man then drove to a nearby Wawa on Tradition Parkway where officers were attempting to block him in. That's when he allegedly rammed officers vehicles.
When the vehicle the man was driving was made immobile by police, he was taken into custody by SWAT officers.
No explosives or weapons were found during a search of the vehicle which was stolen out of Palm Beach County.
