A Lake Worth Beach bridge has reopened.
The 6th Avenue South Bridge was back open as of 2 p.m. yesterday, according to the county's Engineering and Public Works Department.
The $11 million project involved the complete demolition and reconstruction of the span over Lake Osborne near Lake Worth Beach.
The project began in February of 2022 and included a new storm management system, sidewalks, guardrails and a buffered bike lane.
While work was actually finished back in August, a preliminary walk-through revealed a damaged storm pipe, which required more work.
It's now been deemed safe for travel.
