Miami, FL - Miami Dolphins wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. made his return to practice this week after starting the season on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list.

Speaking with reporters on Thursday, Beckham expressed his gratitude for being back on the practice field but acknowledged that he is currently "a bit out of football shape."

The veteran wideout missed the first four games of the season due to a knee injury.

Beckham, who signed a one-year contract with the Dolphins in May, explained that he was reluctant to start the season on the PUP list but ultimately felt it was the best decision for the team.

He revealed that his injury was more severe than many people realized, and he didn't want to occupy a roster spot without being able to contribute.

While Beckham's return to practice is a positive development, his status for Sunday's game against the New England Patriots remains uncertain.

The 31-year-old has a history of injuries and has faced challenges staying healthy in recent seasons.
